HOW TO MEASURE FOR OUR JEANS

 

Ladies Jeans

 

Waist - hold the tape measure against your skin, just below your rib cage - the slimmest part of your torso. Don't be tempted to leave room for comfort. Denim "gives" with wear and it is ok if they fit a little snug at first, they will soon ease.

Our jeans do not "come up big". If they are too big, then the waist measurement has been taken too low. They are much higher than modern jeans, even other so-called high waisted styles. If the jeans hang too low in the crotch, the waist is too big - a smaller waist also has a lower rise.

For the hip, measure at the widest point - approximately 30 cm down from the top of the waistband. If you have the waist measurement right the hip should follow through. Only if you are very curvy would we recommend going up a waist size.

Here's a inch/centimetre conversion -

24" = 61 cms, 26" = 66 cms, 28" = 71 cms, 30" = 76 cms, 32" = 81 cms, 34" = 86.5 cms, 36" = 91.5 cms

Leg measurements - most of our jeans are a 34 inch inside leg, but sometimes they are a bit less. So please follow the size chart each time you purchase. Turn-ups/cuffs are NOT sewn in. Leg openings are shown in half - ie. measured across with the jeans laid flat, so double the amount to show the all round measurement.

Please note that each edition or style of jean can come up different. So please follow the size chart each time you purchase. An inch here or there shouldn't make too much difference to the fit, after all they're just a pair of jeans!!  

 

LADIES TOPS AND JACKETS

 

For tops and jackets we show the "over bust" measurement in inches. You can measure a top you already have and compare.  Sleeve is measured from under the armpit to the edge of cuff. See below for inches to centimetres.

32" = 81.5cms

34" = 86.5cms

36" = 91.5cms

38" = 96.5cms

  40" = 101.5cms

   42" = 106.5cms
